A man shot at the Islamic Culture Center in the northern Neustadt district in Halle on Sunday afternoon with an air rifle. According to the police, the 55-year-old shot from his apartment, which is located opposite the facility in an apartment building. So no people were hit. The man hit the window sill, there was no damage to the building.
Two people saw the attack and called the police. A rifle and a gas pistol were found in the shooter’s home. State security has been called in and investigations are ongoing. The police said that according to initial findings, the man had not yet appeared with any politically motivated crimes.
