Cats have been shot at again in Mammendorf. Last Monday and at the end of January, two pets were attacked with an airgun, and in one case the animal had to be euthanized. Similar incidents have also occurred in Mammendorf in the past in 2010, 2015 and 2017. The police are now looking for witnesses who made observations on Monday, February 20, or on Thursday, January 26, in the eastern and northeastern areas of Hans-Winkler-Platz in Mammendorf that could be related to the two incidents. A hangover was shot between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Shrove Monday. When he returned from his morning walk, his owner discovered a so-called diabolo projectile in his body; it had to be surgically removed.
