When Dortmund and Bayern fight for the cup on Saturday, it also depends on the referees. Every whistle, every decision can swing the pendulum in one direction or the other. What nobody wants – a championship that is decided by a wrong penalty whistle.

But BILD knows: The original plan was different – the referee in the game between Cologne and Bayern was changed shortly before the match day!
Actually, Felix Zwayer (42) should whistle the Bayern final. But the Berliner has signed off sick, Jablonski has to step in.
Zwayer and Bayern-BVB, was there something? In December 2021, Zwayer whistled for Munich’s 3: 2 against Dortmund, in which BVB felt disadvantaged. Dortmund’s Jew Bellingham went over the top with the statement: “You give a referee who has already postponed games the biggest game in Germany. What do you expect?” Zwayer received death threats and took a break.
Zwayer has long been on the whistle again, but this weekend he has to pass at short notice.
According to BILD information, Bremen’s Jablonski only found out about his assignment on Thursday evening shortly before publication. Normally, the referees always know many days, sometimes weeks in advance, where they will referee games and when, in order to be able to prepare intensively and professionally.
The reshuffle will certainly be neither an advantage nor a disadvantage for Bayern. Jablonski is THE referee’s high-flyer of the season, has been a FIFA referee for a year and a half and is considered by experts to be the greatest German talent on the flute for years.
The championship final is his 15th game (63 yellow cards and one yellow-red card) this season, his games have always been completely silent, he has never been the center of attention and his performance has never been discussed – in contrast to the sick Zwayer, who is often criticized.
Jablonski has had a number of big games this year, including both the first and second leg Leipzig vs. Dortmund and the Gladbach vs. Cologne derby.
But one thing is clear: Bayern’s championship final in Cologne is his biggest task to date as a referee!
