Shootings in Kentucky leave “5 dead and at least 6 injured”

A gunman opened fire on Monday morning at Louisville, Kentucky’s largest cityand left “5 dead and at least 6 injured”, announced the authorities of this state in the center-east of the United States.

“We confirm that there is an assailant in action” in the center of the city, wrote on Twitter the police, adding that there were “several victims”, before establishing an initial balance sheet at five deaths. The local press pointed to a massive police presence in the area.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has announced that he will immediately go there. City Mayor Craig Greenberg called on residents to avoid the area.
