Shooting spree in Texas: Oblivion will soon begin – opinion

The worst thing is the dead children. The most frustrating thing is the indifference with which America accepts the deaths of these children. Maybe not now, in the first hours and days after the massacre. The president stands in front of the microphone in person, every senator and member of parliament says or demands something, the television stations send reporters to the scene of the crime, the country prays and mourns. But in a week or two, forgetting will begin – worse still, repressing and ignoring. In a month, you’ll have to look it up on Wikipedia to find out which West Texas village the elementary school kids were killed in and how many victims there were.
