It’s an unusual story. Last month, Clara, manager of a Parisian restaurant, found her dog lost a week ago thanks to an impressive mobilization on social networks more than 900 km from her home. According to daily information
The Parisian, a homeless person had kidnapped “Ziggy”, a Jack Russell chihuahua cross, in Paris to take him to do the round with him in Cannes.
On April 12, the restaurateur ends her shift and realizes that her pet is no longer there. After several hours of desperate research, she posts messages on social networks. Very quickly, “the information goes viral, it’s shared thousands of times,” comments the owner of Ziggy to the national daily. Internet users react and indicate having seen the dog on the University quay then on the Branly quay alongside a homeless man. A client confided in him the day after seeing a man pick up the dog and thought she knew him. Every day, the young woman receives reports with more and more information.
After a week on the street, the dog travels “like a millionaire”
A week after Ziggy’s disappearance, on Monday April 19, Clara notices that the WhatsApp group she had created to find her dog “saturated”. “One of the members sent a photo and everyone was sure it was him,” she explains to the Parisian. Except it was in Cannes! “
It was Maria, very active in research from the start, who sent the photo. While she was missing her train in Cannes, she bumps into Ziggy and the homeless man. She then calls the nearest vet who arrives immediately to identify the puppy using her chip. It was indeed Clara’s pet!
The story ends like in a movie. After having lived a week in the street, Ziggy will find his mistress in Avignon, transported “like a millionaire”, thanks to a friend of private plane pilot.
