Sharon Stone had to reconstruct her face with Botox injections after her stroke. In 2001, when she was only 43 years old, the star of Basic Instinct was the victim of a serious stroke which almost cost him his life. And if she had ever had to resort to cosmetic surgery out of coquetry, she didn’t think it would one day be a necessity.
“There was a period when, with fame, I did injections and that kind of thing,” she first conceded to Vogue Arabia.
More than 300 injections
“And then I had this massive stroke, and nine days of brain bleeding. So I had to do over 300 injections of Botox and fillers to straighten part of my face,” Sharon Stone continued. What seemed to him like a “small luxury” had suddenly become “a kind of massive and painful neurological need”.
