The German Weather Service warns of severe thunderstorms and heavy rain in several regions of Germany. See where the storm is particularly strong on the interactive live map.

Heavy thunderstorms, extremely heavy rain and hail – after the heat of the past few days, things are getting uncomfortable in many places. The German Weather Service has issued severe weather warnings for several regions in Germany for this Monday.

According to the forecasts, the Alpine region, the western half and later also the North Sea coast will be affected. Up to 40 liters of rain per square meter can fall locally, the wind blows at up to 85 kilometers per hour. The storm is expected to continue on Tuesday, but then mainly south of the Danube.
