Several demonstrations organized Thursday on the sidelines of the presidential visit

The reception promises to be icy, Thursday morning, in the Hérault. While Emmanuel Macron has planned an official visit to the Louise-Michel college, in Ganges, around education, the unions have already announced that they would welcome him in their own way.

Demonstrations are scheduled for 10 a.m. in Ganges, 11:30 a.m. in Lunel, 6:30 p.m. in Béziers or 7 p.m. in Bédarieux. In Montpellier, it is at the Saint-Roch station that the trade unions call to meet, at 12 noon. “We call on all our colleagues who can to make their arrangements to go […] in front of the station”, indicate in a joint press release the unions of Hérault, which promise “to organize the fight until the withdrawal of this counter-reform of pensions”.

In the press release released to the media on Tuesday evening, the Elysée services indicate that the President of the Republic will address “three axes to continue the transformation of public schools”, during his visit to the Louise-Michel college, in Ganges: “to restore confidence to parents, to carry out an ambitious policy for the excellence of pupils and finally to ensure better recognition for teachers”.
