At least two people are said to have died in a suspected Russian attack on a shopping center in Kharkiv. According to Ukrainian authorities, the building was hit by a Russian glide bomb.

According to official reports, a shopping center was hit by at least one glide bomb during a Russian air raid on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv. According to President Volodymyr Zelensky, around 200 people were in the market at the time of the attack.

In his daily video address, he said the complex was well attended on a Saturday afternoon. The attack was “another manifestation of Russian madness.” Only madmen like Russian President Putin are capable of killing and terrorizing people in such a heinous manner.

According to the governor of the Kharkiv region, at least two people died in the attack and 24 others were injured. A little later, the city’s mayor reported another attack on a residential area in the center. He wrote on Telegram that eight people were injured.

Selenskyj again asks for air defense

Zelensky once again asked Ukraine’s supporters for more air defense systems. In his video address, he said: “If we had more appropriate, more modern air defense systems and aircraft, the Russian Air Force would of course have collapsed long ago, just like its Black Sea Fleet.” For Zelensky, shooting down Russian aircraft is a peacekeeping measure.

Germany delivers another Iris-T system

According to the US State Department, a new package worth 275 million US dollars includes, among other things, ammunition for the Himars multiple rocket launchers. Germany supplied Ukraine with another Iris-T air defense system.

According to the German Ministry of Defense, the system arrived in Ukraine on Friday. Germany has already delivered several air defense systems to Kyiv, including the IRIS-T and Patriot types.
