Five men and two women were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a terrorism case linked to the figure of conspiracy circles Rémy Daillet. Aged 36 to 62, they are currently in custody at the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI). According to sources familiar with the matter, a former police officer, the “yellow vest” Sylvain B. author of a “handbook of peaceful insurrection” and lawyer Me Virginie de Araujo-Recchia are among those arrested.
In a video message published on the Internet, the lawyer addressed “general officers, colonels, officers (…) given the urgency of the situation”, saying “to worry about the deterioration of our rule of law which has worsened” and “fundamental rights undermined in the name of a state of health emergency which is not one”. Searches were carried out during the arrests.
The “protean file”
Fourteen people belonging to the ultra-right have already been indicted in what is described by the courts as a “protean file”. The judicial investigation had been opened in May 2021 after the first arrests linked to the small group “Honneur et nation”. It then widened, and the projects targeted by justice now go beyond this circle, but all the defendants seem to have the same inspiration, Rémy Daillet.
A figure in conspiratorial circles already implicated and imprisoned in the case of the kidnapping of little Mia, he had been indicted on October 22 for criminal terrorist “criminal association” and again imprisoned in this file, called according to the “Azur project” or “Honneur et Nation” sources.
5G antennas, vaccination centers, journalists and personalities
Rémy Daillet is suspected of being “the brain” of a group, which includes soldiers, planning violent actions. His lawyer, Me Christophe Basson-Larbi, had presented him as a “political prisoner” with “explicitly non-violent political ideas” but “of which violent individuals claim to escape their possible responsibilities”.
Convinced that “Emmanuel Macron is at the service of money and that we must put an end to big capital”, these people had “the idea of a coup d’etat, of an overthrow of the French government”, A source familiar with the matter told AFP at the time. Among the targets of the respondents in this case were, among other things, 5G antennas, vaccination centers, journalists and personalities, had detailed two sources close to the investigation.
