According to measurements, around 150,000 vehicles pass Volker Becker-Battaglia’s home in the middle of Munich every day. The film producer lives on Landshuter Allee, one of the busiest streets in Germany. He is not a car opponent, says Becker-Battaglia. But there are just too many. The 60-year-old has only one word for the extent of the traffic jams that are now pushing their way through German streets and residential areas: “madness.”
