The reason for the delivery stop are problems with a part of the aircraft fuselage, according to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Boeing must carry out additional analyzes to eliminate the deficiencies. Only when the problems have been satisfactorily resolved can the group deliver more 787 Dreamliner aircraft.

In the past there had been difficulties with the long-haul jet several times. Due to various production defects, the aircraft was not allowed to be handed over to customers from May 2021 to August 2022. Manufacturing defects were first discovered in late summer 2020. At that time it was about quality problems near the nose of the aircraft.

The 787 Dreamliner is one of Boeing’s flagship aircraft. The US airline giant has said there is no immediate safety or flight issue for its global fleet. The short-term deliveries would be affected. But changes in production and delivery forecasts for the year are not expected.
