Serious accidents due to storm and snow – Bavaria

Because of the onset of winter, the police, fire brigade and rescue services in the south and east of Bavaria have been called to more than 500 missions. In Lower and Upper Bavaria alone, there were 430 missions on Tuesday and Wednesday night, as the police announced. A fatal accident occurred in Ingolstadt when two vehicles collided head-on and a man died. In the neighboring district of Neuburg-Schrobenhausen, an 80-year-old had an accident and crashed into a tree. The man later succumbed to his injuries. According to the police, well over a hundred accidents have been reported in Swabia. Several trucks got stuck near Mindelheim (Unterallgäu district), causing disabilities. A small van drove onto a truck on the A 8 near Elchingen (Neu-Ulm district). The driver and the passenger of the van were seriously injured. The lane had to be closed for two and a half hours.
