Tennis superstar Serena Williams, one of the greatest players of all time, has announced the end of her career in a text for Vogue. She left the date open, she will probably take part in the US Open again, which begins at the end of August.
Long-standing world number one Serena Williams has announced her early retirement from professional tennis. The 40-year-old American wrote on Instagram on Tuesday that the time had come in life to choose a different direction. “My God, how much I love tennis. But now the countdown has started,” said the winner of 23 Grand Slam titles. “I will enjoy these coming weeks.”
Serena Williams also spoke in detail in the magazine “Vogue”. She is currently participating in the tournament in Toronto. In just under three weeks, the US Open will begin in New York, which is expected to be their last tournament.
