One year after the attacks of September 11, 2001, the alleged co-conspirator Ramsi bin al-Shibb fell into the hands of his persecutors. Security forces arrested the Yemeni in Karachi and handed him over to the CIA – just in time for the first anniversary of the attack on the United States. However, bin al-Shibb is still waiting for his trial to this day. He is still holding out in the US prison camp in Guantánamo Bay at the eastern end of Cuba. The criminal proceedings are delayed year after year. The judge who prepared the trial has now retired. The longtime defense attorney bin al-Schibbs is also retiring. Time goes by, the protagonists change, but the law has still not been pronounced.
