In May, the popular SciFi RTS game series “Homeworld” will be continued with “Homeworld 3”. In addition, another promising sequel is being launched with “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II”. The action-adventure “Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut,” previously only available for the Playstation, is now also coming to the PC.

Tip: Add game releases to your calendar
We’ve added April’s PC game releases to a public Google calendar that you can easily use subscribe, as well display in the browser can leave. Also an export as iCal file is available – but the dates in it do not update when we make updates.
Homeworld 3
“Homeworld 3” will be released on May 13, 2024 and continues the award-winning and extremely popular SciFi RTS game series. In “Homeworld 3” players command a fleet of spaceships that have to assert themselves in 3D space battles against other fleets and factions as well as human opponents in PvP mode. However, if you don’t like PvP battles, you can safely do without them, as the game’s story and single-player mode offer enough fun if you prefer to go solo. “Homeworld 3” also offers randomly generated fleet combat challenges that can be completed alone or with friends in cooperative mode. Small and medium-sized attack ships are available for the impressive space battles, which are particularly maneuverable and can carry out quick maneuvers.
But gigantic, seemingly indestructible battleships can also be added to your fleet as the game progresses. During battles, asteroid fields or space ruins, the crumbled remains of ancient civilizations, can be used, among other things, to move tactically, remain undetected and carry out ambush attacks. However, the asteroid fields are just as treacherous as destructive particle storms and can quickly turn out to be a deadly trap. Story-wise, “Homeworld 3” picks up where “Homeworld 2” left off and continues the cycle of war and peace. Mod support and an Unreal Editor make it possible to create content for the game yourself or to use content from other players in the community.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut
In the action adventure “Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut” Players take control of the samurai Jin Sakai, who single-handedly opposes the Mongol Empire’s conquest in the late 13th century in order to protect his people and his homeland, the island of Tsushima. Tsushima is the last bastion that still stands between the Japanese mainland and the cruel Mongol general Khotun Khan and his troops. Jin decides to get rid of his martial traditions in order to be able to follow the “path of the spirit” and gain unexpected powers. Ghost of Tsushima’s combat system revolves primarily around sword combat, which takes place in a third-person perspective and features close-range and ranged attacks.
Whether the sword fights are fought openly or in the form of sneak attacks and assassinations is up to the player. The game was originally released as an exclusive title for the Playstation and is particularly impressive due to its impressive visuals. From May 16, 2024, this feature will be even more effective on PCs, especially on devices with high-end hardware that, for example, have the latest generation of AMD or NVIDIA graphics cards. In addition, “Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut” in the Japanese language version offers authentic lip sync for all cinematics shown during the game.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
“Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” is the sequel to the successful action adventure “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” and will be released on May 21, 2024 for the PC and Xbox. As in the first part, players take on the role of the protagonist Senua, who fights against the horrors of Nordic mythology in Iceland during the Viking era and has made it her mission to save all victims of tyranny. She also wants to take this opportunity to avenge her life partner Dillion, who died a cruel death at the hands of the Vikings. The special thing about Senua’s arduous journey is that she not only has to overcome external dangers, but also has to fight a constant battle with her inner demons.
These demons, which apparently arise from Senua’s psyche and repeatedly manifest themselves in the form of hallucinations and delusions, make it increasingly difficult to recognize what is real. However, in the course of the first part, Senua finally learns to deal with her demons and accepts them as a part of her own personality. “Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice” was particularly impressive because of its oppressive and stirring atmosphere, which was created, among other things, by the dark but beautiful graphic style and a very atmospheric soundtrack. “Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II” is intended to go one step further in terms of immersive atmosphere and also offer a more complex combat system and more varied fights.
