Senior home in Vaterstetten: burnt food wakes residents – Ebersberg

An incident occurred in a retirement home in Vaterstetten on Monday night. Because a smoke detector sounded the alarm, the police and fire brigade had to move out to the Carecon senior citizens’ residential home. The cause was burnt food in an upstairs microwave. The kitchen, in which the microwave is located, is only used by the nursing staff, as reported by the police in a press release. The culprit has not yet been identified. After the brief shock, the residents of the facility were able to sleep on peacefully. Nobody was hurt.
