SEK mission in Wassertrüdingen: man threatens landlord with blank gun – Bavaria

A man threatened an innkeeper with a pistol in the Middle Franconian district of Ansbach and rioted in his restaurant. Officials from the special task force (SEK) arrested the man after the incident in Wassertrüdingen on Saturday night, the police said.

A police dog was also used when the man was arrested, which, according to a police spokesman, bit the 52-year-old and slightly injured him. The man was taken to a hospital for medical treatment. The weapon turned out to be a pistol. In addition, the man in the restaurant destroyed parts of the facility and tried to start a fire in the kitchen. The damage was around 15,000 euros.

The police are now investigating the man on suspicion of threats and attempted serious arson. After the 52-year-old had already spent Friday evening in the restaurant, according to the police, he entered the now-closed restaurant through a window. Then, according to the information, he pulled out a pistol and fired a shot at the 63-year-old host. He escaped unharmed and called the police.
