Seine-et-Marne: a call for witnesses launched after the worrying disappearance of a 20-year-old jogger

It was between 5:45 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. this Friday morning that Chloé, 20, disappeared while jogging in Dammartin-en-Goële, a town of 10,000 inhabitants, in the north-west of the Seine- et-Marne, where she lives with her mother. She is the eldest of a family of four children, including three girls and a boy. A call for witnesses was launched at the end of the afternoon.

“We immediately took this disappearance, which was described as worrying, seriously. We have deployed very significant resources on the ground, ”sums up squadron leader Séverine Hammel, commander of the Meaux gendarmerie company. “In this kind of situation, the first hours are decisive. Before widening the search area, it is necessary to carry out a search as close as possible to the last place where the missing person was seen. »

In this case, Chloé, who, according to our information, was filmed around 6 a.m. by a CCTV camera located down her street, lives about a hundred meters from the entrance to the Corbie municipal park. It is a wooded and closed space of a dozen hectares including a piece of water. It is located north of the town, the old center of the town. This is where the very first searches were concentrated even if there is “not necessarily a trace of Chloe in the park”, adds squadron leader Hammel.

An operational command post at the heart of the town

“I made the Corbie park available to the gendarmes who needed it for their staff and their equipment”, confirmed this Friday afternoon Vincent Clavier, the DVD mayor of Dammartin-en-Goële, involved with the gendarmes. to organize research.

The tracking dogs of a cynophile team as well as six riders of the Republican Guard and their horses inspected the area. A helicopter from the national gendarmerie – dispatched from Vélizy-Villacoublay (Yvelines) – flew over the scene to scan the territory of the town. A military drone was also engaged in the search for traces of the young woman.

Gone for a run without her cell phone

Contacted, the public prosecutor of Meaux did not exclude any hypothesis. “She was seen on CCTV footage around 6am. She is used to running early in the morning. His disappearance was reported at 10:30 a.m. by his mother, who works the night shift. She did not worry because her daughter after running usually goes to the gym. “According to the magistrate, Chloe was not seen at the gym this Friday morning. “This is what led to the opening of an investigation for disturbing disappearance,” he said.

For their part, the gendarmes specify that at the time of her disappearance, the young woman, small and measuring 1.56 m, was dressed in a black sleeveless jacket, a royal blue sweatshirt, black jogging and white sneakers. Chloé is described by those close to her as a “cheerful and super-sporty girl who practices judo in a club, runs regularly and goes to the gym”. An uncle specifies that “she used to run in the morning to Moussy-le-Vieux, about 4 km from her home. She ran again on Thursday evening in the Parc de la Corbie”. This resident of Meaux says he came to help, believing that a search was organized but it did not take place.

The young woman would not suffer from depression and would not have suicidal tendencies. According to our information, she was about to take up her duties as a carer for the elderly in nursing homes this Friday at 2 p.m.

The disappeared would have gone running “without any of her known cell phones”, specified the prosecutor. Which doesn’t mean she didn’t have a cell phone on her. “We are not ruling out any hypothesis, we are here to close the doors and find Chloé,” concluded Squadron Leader Hammel, specifying that there is no end time for the search.

This Friday at 9:45 p.m., Chloe had not been found.

Anyone with information to find the missing person is asked to call the gendarmes at 01.64.14.93.90.
