Security update: Attackers can hijack traffic from Huawei WiFi routers

Anyone who owns the WLAN router B535-232a from Huawei should update the device for security reasons. Otherwise, attackers can access traffic.

A warning message lists the threat level of the vulnerability (CVE-2022-48469) as “high“. If an attacker has remote access to the router, he can attack the vulnerability with a manipulated domain name due to a vulnerability in the resolution of domain names. This is how attackers can hijack data packets.

The developers indicate the security problem in the version B535-232a 2.0.0.1 (H318SP6C983) to have solved.
