Shortly before the second anniversary of Russia’s attack on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky is traveling to Germany and France to sign security agreements.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj has arrived in Germany for a visit. He was welcomed by Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) in front of the Berlin Chancellery. After a brief handshake for the photographers and cameramen, both retreated to the government headquarters.

“I am starting two important days with meetings in Germany and France, new agreements and the Munich Security Conference,” Zelenskyy previously said on social networks. The visits are about a new security architecture for his country, which was attacked by Russia. Kiev continues to work towards a quick end to the war for fair conditions for Ukraine and a lasting peace.

Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion for almost two years. Zelensky is expected to appear at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
