Striking new trailer for “Secret Invasion” starring Samuel L. Jackson and many other stars.
Explosions, bombastic music and pithy dialogues: Samuel L. Jackson (74) equips himself as Nick Fury in a martial new trailer to “Secret Invasion” for its “final battle”. The series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe starts on June 21, 2023 on Disney+.
“It’s only gotten a lot worse since you’ve been gone,” Talos (Ben Mendelsohn, 54) says of Nick Fury, who has returned to Earth. “Why do you think I’m back?” the Avengers client replies grumpily.
Nick Fury goes to war without Avengers
Nick Fury must uncover a conspiracy. Earth is in danger of being invaded by shapeshifting Skrulls. The former boss of SHIELD can’t be sure if his allies aren’t Skrulls too.
The Avengers, who Fury had recruited for dangerous missions in the past, are unavailable this time. “I have to go to this war alone,” says Fury at the end of the grim trailer – and folds his collar up.
Star cast in the new trailer
As in the first trailer, which Marvel released in September 2022, the new clip also features a large cast of stars. Among others, “Game of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke (36), Oscar winner Olivia Colman (49), Don Cheadle (58) and Cobie Smulders (41) can be seen.
“Secret Invasion” is the first series from the fifth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which started with the movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”.
