There are only three months left until the state elections, in which Markus Söder must achieve a good result in order to remain unchallenged as Prime Minister and CSU leader. What is currently happening in the state parliament is all the more remarkable. Clear criticism of Söder and his state government comes from the ranks of the CSU and Free Voters. And that too in Bavaria’s largest construction project, which has turned into a disaster worth billions. It’s about the construction of the second main route of the Munich S-Bahn, which will be twice as expensive and will be completed many years later than originally planned.
