SEC receives plaque of honor “Good People Organization” 2023

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) received a plaque of honor “Good People Organization” for the year 2023 from Mr. Supachai Somcharoen, Vice President of the Senate. Organized by the Sub-Committee on Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Senate to honor organizations that are managed based on morality, ethics and good governance. It was evident in society on April 4, 2023 at the Parliament Building.

The Good People Organization project is operated by the Subcommittee on Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, the Senate, which recognizes and places importance on honoring government, private and civil society organizations. Administrative based on morality, ethics, good governance in administration is evident in society. and fostering good people, smart people, brave people, as well as creating opportunities for society to develop Thailand sustainably. In addition, organization leaders are role models and play an important role in promoting good people activities in society. Be a role model for a good organization that can recommend ways to develop the potential of personnel within the organization. To be knowledgeable, capable and have morals and ethics. And able to expand the results to other organizations of the country in a concrete way. There are 72 organizations that received the “good organization” plaque for the year 2023, comprising 61 government organizations, 4 private sectors, 4 community sectors, and 3 civil society sectors.

In this regard, the SEC has operational policies that reflect the objectives of the awards received, divided into 2 dimensions: 1) Good governance: creating good people There is a transparent organization working group. and policies and measures to promote morality and transparency into actual practice. by further developing and promoting knowledge of good governance Grow connected to work processes by using an innovative approach for transparency and expanding the circle of change agents, making it continuous and sustainable. Follow up on progress and develop a system with modern data (Data-driven governance), create a group of change agents, promote talented people, daredevils, and drive results with innovative organizations. By creating a process (Commitment), building corporate culture (Culture), promoting potential (Capabilities) and accomplished on real work. (Co-creation) to encourage SEC people to think further and ready to accept changes. to create a concept New ways and ways to work more efficiently and lead to an innovative organization Utilize digital to provide services that are convenient, reduce burden, meet the needs of stakeholders and are reliable.

2) Sustainability management in social and environmental dimensions Focusing on ESG is one of the key strategies. It is driving the SDGs in Action through various projects such as the project to strengthen the capital market, good governance in honor of His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of the coronation, the “SEC Mai Mai Ting Gun” project from the innovations of fine employees. the behavior of littering with “3Rs” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) activities, etc. While driving the capital market, it places importance on the principles of good corporate governance of listed companies (Corporate Governance Code: CG Code). investment for institutional investors (Investment Governance Code or I Code) and information disclosure regulations of listed companies (One Report) to raise the level of ESG disclosure.

NACC Integrity Awards for the 9th and 10th times 3. The award for “model government building in wastewater management” from the Ministry of Natural Resources. and the environment in 2020; “Carbon Free Organization” 2020 is an example of success and good practices in driving towards achieving SDGs (SDG Good Practices, Success Stories and Lessons Learned in the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda) that will be used to share experiences with other countries. • Project “SEC joins in planting forests, increasing value, enhancing wisdom for communities in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit. the queen Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn On the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 90th Birthday Anniversary on August 12, 2022” at Ban Rong Bon Community, Muang Kham Subdistrict, Phan District, Chiang Rai Province and financial knowledge activities on the topic of “money matters, easy things near everyone, anyone can do it”

• Zero Waste Project and the SEC Don’t Leave Each Other Manage waste in the SEC by digesting it into organic fertilizers in 2021 – 2022 and distributing 1,327 kilograms of waste, or reducing landfill waste from food waste. by 4,914 kilograms, equivalent to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 580 kilograms of carbon dioxide.

• “SEC Don’t Leave Each Other” project to adjust waste management behavior with the principle of “3Rs”, namely Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and use resources efficiently, reducing waste and carbon dioxide emissions. The SEC therefore donated 50,000 baht to the Sustainable Resource Management Foundation.

• Vibhavadi Road Zero Waste Project under the Chalermprakiti Project by the SEC invites listed companies with offices or projects along Vibhavadi Rangsit Road to jointly manage waste efficiently within the organization. and reduce waste that cannot be reused or used for other purposes to the minimum

• Model Project for Sustainability in the Thai Capital Market Support for people with disabilities in 2022 creates incentives for enterprises in the capital market sector to support more people with disabilities. to reduce inequality among vulnerable groups

• Projects to promote gender equality and empower women in the Thai capital market. by pushing for listed companies to have a proportion of 30% female directors and establishing a Gender Corner, a knowledge center on tools, advice, and work in advancing gender equality. and leaders of organizations that focus on gender equality and increasing the role of women in the Thai capital market.
