Screening tests remain free in the West Indies, Guyana and Mayotte

Covid comfort tests will remain free in overseas territories in a state of health emergency, including the West Indies, Guyana and Mayotte, while they have become chargeable in the rest of France, according to a decree published this Friday in Official newspaper. The decree making comfort tests payable on October 15 states that “the provisions of this decree are not applicable to Mayotte”, nor in “territories in which the state of health emergency is declared on that date”.

These provisions will come into force “on the date of the end of the state of health emergency”. The state of health emergency has been extended until November 15 in Guadeloupe, Martinique, Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin, as well as in Guyana, Reunion, French Polynesia and New Caledonia. However, the state of health emergency was lifted on Wednesday in Reunion.

On the other hand, the self-tests for antigenic detection of the SARS-COV2 virus by nasal swab are chargeable.
