Young star Joey Morgan has died at the age of only 28. The actor became known through films like “Scouts vs. Zombies” and “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser”.
Joey Morgan is dead. The actor, known from the film “Scouts vs. Zombies – Handbook to the Zombie Apocalypse” (2015), died at the age of only 28. The film’s director, Christopher Landon, 46, confirmed the young film star’s death on Twitter.

Landon wrote on the short message service: “Joey Morgan came into my life almost nine years ago while making ‘Scouts’. He was calm, funny, intelligent and thoughtful. And when the cameras rolled he had a great charisma.” The filmmaker added, “He died today and the news is heartbreaking. I am honored to have known him.”
A spokesman for the late actor also confirmed the sad news on JustJared.com. Nothing is known about the cause of death. Joey Morgan’s other projects included the film “Flower” (2017) with Zoey Deutch, 27, and the film “Sierra Burgess Is a Loser” (2018) with Shannon Purser, 24.
