A school bus with 35 children on board caught fire in Lower Franconia. Due to a technical defect, the driver had to stop the bus shortly after Bad Kissingen on Thursday, the police said. While the children got out, smoke was already coming out of the hood. The children were able to exit the bus in time before the vehicle was completely engulfed in flames. According to a police spokesman, the children were never in danger because “the driver reacted correctly and with the presence of mind.” The students were able to continue on with a replacement bus.
