In 2024, freelance artists with a connection to Bavaria will also have a variety of opportunities to spend four to six weeks in another federal state or abroad. This is made possible by scholarships from the Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus eV support association and its international partner houses.
Visual artists, composers and writers born, living or working in Bavaria can apply until October 15, 2023. The exchange partners for the coming year are Plushow Castle in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Villa Paula in the Czech Republic, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and Djerassi Resident Artists Program in the USA as well as Nouaison in France and Lademoen Kunstnerverksteder in Norway. Free living and working spaces are available at all locations, and the artists usually receive a small meal allowance.
