Celebrate with loud music and more than 30 degrees in Berlin on Saturday: For some ravers, the day ended in the hospital. What is the balance sheet for the fire brigade and the police?

The fire brigade and police were satisfied with the course of the techno parade “Rave The Planet” in Berlin. The fire brigade announced on Sunday that 153 people had been taken care of by the organizer’s medical service by 11:15 p.m. on Saturday. 51 of them were taken to hospitals by the fire brigade’s rescue service. This is very satisfactory, especially in view of the heat of more than 30 degrees. “It all went very well,” said the spokesman. The police had previously expressed their satisfaction with the course of the operation.

According to the police, around 200,000 people celebrated on Saturday on the Straße des 17. Juni between the Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column in the scorching heat. The organizers spoke of around 300,000 participants. According to a police spokesman, there were almost 60 criminal complaints of “all kinds”, the main focus being bodily harm and violations of the Narcotics Act.

In view of the large number of participants, however, this is within the expected range from a police point of view, it said. According to their own statements, the police accompanied the Techno Parade with around 1,000 emergency services.
