Japanese financial services giant SBI Holdings announced Friday that its subsidiary, Morningstar, will continue to provide XRP as a benefit to shareholders in 2023.
The company’s reward program will award XRP to shareholders in the amount of 2,500 yen ($23) of 100 shares held as of March 31, 2023. The exact amount of XRP to be awarded is determined based on the XRP market price recorded on the date. which is currently priced at $0.40.
SBI Holdings has offered XRP as a shareholder benefit for several years. It started giving shareholders the option to receive XRP as part of its rewards program in January 2020.
However, shareholders must only be residents of Japan and have an account with SBI’s VC Trade to be eligible for XRP.
