Free shipping, faster delivery, films and series: Amazon Prime offers a number of advantages for Amazon customers. But not everyone wants to spend a lot of money on it. A savings tip helps to get Amazon Prime cheaper.

The advantages of Amazon Prime are obvious: Those who have subscribed to the additional service from Amazon get free and very fast premium shipping, can stream series and films like Netflix and sometimes receive exclusive offers that normal Amazon customers do not have To be available.

However, if you only order from Amazon from time to time, you will know the problem: For the relatively high fees of 7.99 euros per month, membership is often not worth it. This is especially true if you live in the same household with other Prime subscribers. In this case, many customers do not think it makes sense to have their own subscription.

Amazon Prime: share benefits for free

What only a few Amazon customers know: For this case, Amazon has set up a function with which you can share all Prime benefits with other customers free of charge. Even better: Neither the account nor the password have to be passed on.

To share the Prime benefits, the subscriber calls into their account the so-called “Prime Central” on. There, customers can find information about their membership, the benefits of the subscription and answers to frequently asked questions, among other things. However, another area is important: At the bottom of the page, a menu “Share Prime benefits” can be expanded. Up to four people from your own household can then be invited there – they will then receive the same advantages for their own account.

Important: The function is only available on the desktop, it is not displayed in the apps or on the smartphone.

Officially, the function only applies to customers who live in the same household. In principle, however, it is possible to store several shipping addresses for each Amazon account. The Prime advantages can also be used if a shipment is not to be sent to the common household, but to the office address, for example.
