Sauerlach – German glass fiber starts campaign to expand broadband – District of Munich

The expansion of the fiber optic network in Sauerlach could take a big step forward if enough households are willing to cooperate with the company Deutsche Glasfaser. The company wants to take the connection on the private sector and is launching a campaign to bundle demand in the districts of Sauerlach, Lanzenhaar and Walchstatt. If at least 33 percent of the households there commission the company to expand the network, it should be done that way. The promotion runs from Wednesday, January 19th to March 23rd. From March 19th, the company will be available with a service office in the town hall. The municipality has signed a cooperation agreement with Deutsche Glasfaser.

The company promises that when the contract is signed, the construction costs for the fiber optic connection into the house will be covered. The community does not have to invest. According to the announcement, there is an action for clubs “in which the club’s coffers can be filled and the fiber-optic expansion can be supported at the same time”. The service office in the town hall, Bahnhofstrasse 1, will be manned on Monday and Wednesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. during the period mentioned. There will be detailed information about the project at an online information evening on Wednesday, January 19, 7 p.m. The link is: https://deutscheglasfaser.zoom.us/j/95760543179
