A drunk 53-year-old from Munich went off the road with his car on Wednesday night on Tegernseer Landstrasse near Sauerlach. At around 4:30 a.m., an attentive driver discovered the vehicle on state road 2573 coming from Sauerlach, crooked on the right in the ditch. The police found the uninjured driver in the car, whose breath smelled strongly of alcohol. A test showed 1.2 per mille. The man’s driver’s license was withdrawn and the car was towed away. A criminal case for drunk driving has been initiated.
