Sauerlach: Association collects for aid transport to the Ukraine – district of Munich

Food has become very expensive in Ukraine and the country’s electricity supply is severely limited by the ongoing bombardment by Russian forces. “And winter is still to come,” points out Margarete Brunnhuber from the Sauerlach working group of the Munich association “Hilfe für die Ukraine”. In order to alleviate the greatest need of the people, another aid transport is to be sent soon to the country battered by the Russian war of aggression. The association is asking for donations in kind and money. “Every euro, every blanket, every bar of chocolate helps, and we volunteers and our local contacts ensure that the money really does reach the people in need,” promises Brunnhuber. Parcels with bed linen, warm blankets, winter clothing, warm shoes, perishable food, baby food and hygiene items such as wound cream, shampoo, pacifiers and pap, but also equipment such as flashlights, batteries, power banks, thermos flasks and sleeping bags are collected. You can hand it in on Saturday, December 10, between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. at Schmiedstrasse 5 in Sauerlach.
