Rare sight: Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick have their three children with them on the red carpet at a premiere.

The actor couple Sarah Jessica Parker (57) and Matthew Broderick (60) did not come alone to the opening night of their Broadway play “Plaza Suite” on Monday. Her three children also walked the red carpet at the Hudson Theater in New York City. Although they had previously accompanied their famous parents on red carpets, this was only very rarely.

James, Marion and Tabitha arm in arm

Their eldest child, son James Wilkie Broderick, 19, posed for photographers arm in arm with his twin sisters, Marion Loretta Elwell Broderick and Tabitha Hodge Broderick, 12. James, who attends Brown University in Rhode Island, wore a dark three-quarter length suit, white shirt and tie. Marion presented herself in a pink tulle mini dress and Tabitha in an armless black leather mini dress.

Mom and ‘Sex and the City’ icon Sarah Jessica Parker dazzled in a striking pink Prabal Rana Gurung dress with glittering silver stars on the cape at the opening ceremony on West 44th Street in midtown Manhattan. Papa Matthew appeared in a dark suit with a green tie.

Broadway play finally starts

Parker and Broderick play three different couples in the three-act comedy directed by John Benjamin Hickey (58). The Broadway previews were scheduled to begin on March 13, 2020, the day after New York’s governor Andrew Cuomo (64) ordered a nationwide closure of all cinemas due to the sharp rise in the number of corona cases at the beginning of the global pandemic.

In real life, the two have been married since 1997.
