Sarah Engels was overjoyed about the birth of her daughter – and passed on part of her happiness: Together with her husband Julian, she supports a water project in Africa.
December 2nd was a very special day in the life of Sarah Engels and her husband Julian: Their daughter Solea Liana was born. It is already the second child for the singer, who already has a son Alessio from her first marriage to Pietro Lombardi. “Dad, mom and your big brother love you infinitely and are full of happiness and pride,” wrote the 29-year-old on Instagram.
True to the motto “joy shared is joy doubled”, the couple combined the birth of their daughter with a good deed and donated money for a charitable project: “Water is life, and that is why our little newborn angel – Solea Liana – is already doing something really big, “wrote Engels on her Instagram page. “A well with fresh drinking water, sufficient for an entire village in Uganda, was built in her name.”

The successful pop singer is aware of her privileged situation: “A warm meal, diapers, baby toys or clothes are often a matter of course for us, but a huge asset for a village in Uganda”. It is a gift for her and her husband to see that “Solea’s sunbeams shine as far as the other side of the world”.
The name Solea comes from French or Spanish and stands for the word sun (French “soleil”, Spanish “soleado” = sunny). The name Liana goes back to the word “iovilius”, which translated means “consecrated to Jupiter”.
The generous project was well received by her fans. More than 100,000 followers liked the post within the first twelve hours, the comments are almost 100 percent positive: “Unbelievably great! More of such warm-hearted people please!”, Wrote one follower representing the many reactions.
