Santiano has to cancel the first two concerts of her tour. An “acute infection” forces the musicians to do this.

The Schleswig-Holstein band Santiano (since 2011) has to postpone the first concerts of their German tour. The musicians gave this on Thursday morning officially announced via Instagram.

“Instead of being happy together about our tour start in Schwerin, we unfortunately had to cancel yesterday’s concert at very short notice due to Timsen and Arne’s acute infection,” the post says. And further: “In order to have enough time for a full recovery, the concert planned for today, April 11th, 2024 in the Quarterback Arena Leipzig will unfortunately not be able to take place.”

Alternative dates have already been set

But Hans-Timm “Timsen” Hinrichsen (58), Axel Stosberg (56), Björn Both (59), Andreas Fahnert, Peter David “Pete” Sage and fellow live musician Arne Wiegand also have “good news” for the fans: ” The replacement dates have already been determined.” Accordingly, the Schwerin concert will take place in the fall on October 2nd in the sports and congress hall, and the one in the Leipzig Quarterback Arena on April 19th.

The tickets remain valid for both concerts or can be returned to the ticket office where they were purchased.

A little health update

Finally, the band members who were not affected by the infection gave their followers a little health update about their two suffering colleagues: “Arne is out of the woods, but things aren’t looking good for Timmi yet. We’re doing what we can,” write the musicians.

“It still hurts our souls […] Thank you very much for your understanding! ZACK AHOI!”, they conclude their message.

Santiano will probably start with “Off to Doggerland” on April 13th at the ZAG Arena in Hanover. They will play the last spring concert on April 24th in Dortmund’s Westfalenhalle. Then it continues on October 2nd, and on the 3rd they stop off in the Flensburg Campus Hall. The last autumn concert of the German tour is scheduled to take place on October 19th in the SAP Arena in Mannheim.
