The next film for Sandra Hülser: She is scheduled to shoot “Late Fame” with Willem Dafoe this year.

Sandra Hülser (46) has reportedly landed another project. The German actress will apparently be filming with Hollywood star Willem Dafoe (68) in 2024. That reports the US industry magazine “Variety”.

The two should therefore take on two of the main roles in “Late Fame”. Kent Jones, who was also responsible for the drama “Diane,” will direct. The script will be written by Samy Burch, who also co-wrote the feature film “May December” with Julianne Moore (63) and Natalie Portman (42).

Hülser and Dafoe are scheduled to shoot in the fall

Filming will begin in New York City this fall, according to the report. No other actors or actresses have been named yet. However, the casting of Hülser and Dafoe alone is likely to cause a stir.

Sandra Hüller recently impressed in “The Zone of Interest” and “Anatomy of a Case”, for which she was nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars and for the Golden Globe. Dafoe has even been suggested for the golden boy four times – for “Platoon”, “Shadow of the Vampire”, “The Florida Project” and “Van Gogh: On the Threshold of Eternity”.

“Late Fame” is supposed to tell the story of Ed Saxberger, played by Dafoe. Saxberger wrote a volume of poetry a long time ago, but it never aroused much interest. However, a group of young artists, including Gloria, portrayed by Hülser, rediscover his work. The film will explore “the illusory effect of praise on the soul and the lingering ghostly presence of the past, whether imagined or vividly remembered.”
