Sandra Hüller in Cannes – Culture

It is a major offensive that Sandra Hüller launched on the cinema this year, and that is astonishing in that for years one has had the impression that she doesn’t need the cinema at all; at least less than it is needed there. She has just been seen as the lady-in-waiting Irma in Frauke Finsterwalder’s “Sisi & Ich” on German screens, when she plays a Hungarian countess who serves Empress Elisabeth and is soon closer to her than she is good for. And already she can be seen twice in leading roles in the competition in Cannes, in “Zone of Interest” and “Anatomie d’une chute / Anatomy of a Fall”.
