Ukraine accuses Bosch of supplying parts for Russian infantry vehicles. The technology group rejects this – and is further restricting its business in Russia.

In view of the Ukraine war, the automotive supplier Bosch has massively restricted its business in Russia.

The technology group in Gerlingen near Stuttgart reports that this affects both deliveries to the country and production there. The trade in spare parts has already come to a standstill.

The group also no longer supplies truck components in Russia and to Russian customers. After there were indications that Bosch parts had been misused “in non-civilian applications”, a check was carried out.

Bosch rejects the allegations

At the beginning of the week, Bosch rejected the accusation by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba that the company had supplied components for Russian infantry vehicles. The component mentioned was not supplied by Bosch to the manufacturer, even if it was a part from Bosch’s own production.

“Of course we comply with all previous and future legal and statutory requirements – including sanctions,” the statement said.

In addition to components for the automotive industry, Bosch also manufactures household appliances, power tools, and industrial and building technology. According to the 2020 annual report, the Swabians have several locations in Russia, including in St. Petersburg and Moscow.
