Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 and Tab A9+ for immersive entertainment and high productivity – Samsung Newsroom Germany

Samsung Electronics today introduced its new Galaxy Tab A9 series. The models are available in two sizes and offer high-quality features at affordable prices. The new devices combine immersive video and audio experiences with convenient connectivity – for powerful entertainment and high productivity. The Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+ also fit seamlessly into the Galaxy ecosystem, offering numerous options for use across different devices.

Displays with up to 90 Hz refresh rate

The Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+ offer the largest displays of all Galaxy A series tablets to date at 8.7 inches and 11 inches respectively¹. This makes immersive entertainment and gaming even easier to experience.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ also has a high refresh rate of 90 Hz – for lag-free gaming and scrolling. The built-in quad speakers, powered by Dolby Atmos, provide the right sound. Thanks to 5G connectivity² Nothing stands in the way of streaming on the go. The Galaxy Tab A9 comes with dual speakers and LTE connectivity. Both tablets come in a slim unibody design for a pleasant feel.

Strong performance for gaming and working

The Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+ offer strong performance and high speeds as well as the largest RAM and storage space in the entire Galaxy Tab A series. This makes multitasking, but also saving large image and video files, possible without any problems.

With the Galaxy Tab A9+ and Samsung DeX, Samsung is now bringing PC-like multitasking to an A-series tablet. With the multi window view, up to three apps can be used in parallel – for high productivity. The integrated screen recorder³ The Galaxy Tab A series can record screen contents so you can relive them at a later time.

Seamless Samsung Galaxy connectivity

The Galaxy Tab A series enables seamless connectivity between all Samsung Galaxy devices. Content can be easily moved and shared between Samsung smartphones, tablets and TVs. Quick share⁴ ensures easy file sharing between devices without cables.

In the new Galaxy Tab A models, data is also protected by the Samsung Knox security platform. With the help of the Samsung Security and Privacy Dashboard, users can see and control at a glance what is happening with their data. With Private Share, content is encrypted before it is shared. Senders can also set access permissions and expiration dates, among other things, to provide additional security when sending confidential information. With Secure Wi-Fi, open, unsecured Wi-Fi networks can also be used while on the go. Internet traffic is encrypted and tracking apps are blocked, so surfing can remain private and secure.

Tablets are also becoming increasingly popular for children’s leisure activities. Samsung Kids was developed specifically for this purpose. This means children can explore the digital world in a protected manner. With a simple setup, parents and carers can monitor and control children’s digital activities, change settings, create child profiles, set play times and monitor the content they access. The Samsung Galaxy “Edutainment” also offers funny and engaging content.

Availability

The Galaxy Tab A9 series will be available in selected markets from week 49. The models are available in three colors⁵: Graphite, Silver and Navy.
