Samsung has released the stable One UI 5 update based on Android 13 for the Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 (2021) published. That Samsung tablet was launched in December 2021 with Android 11. Samsung is sticking to its provisional One UI 5 roadmap. The Android 13 update is currently being rolled out across Europe for the Wi-Fi version. The new firmware for the Galaxy Tab A8 LTE however, has appeared in dozens of markets, including India.

The Wi-Fi model gets One UI 5.0 in Europe with firmware version X200XXU1CVL5, while the update for the LTE version in this country carries firmware version X205XXU1CVL6. In India, the LTE model will receive One UI 5.0 firmware X205XXU1CVL5.
Android 13 for Galaxy Tab A8 brings better multitasking
Samsung OneUI 5 based on Android 13 brings a new design and redesigned elements in the settings app. The performance should also get better and the Galaxy Tab A8 should run smoother as One UI 5.0 is more optimized than the previous versions. There are new multi-window gestures and a new taskbar that also improve the multitasking experience.
Samsung has also redesigned the window with the last active apps and got rid of unnecessary animations. This should make switching between apps and closing apps faster.
Anyone who owns a Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 in Europe or India should already be able to download the update to Android 13 and One UI 5 via the Settings app. If you haven’t received an update notification yet, you can simply go to Software update and then tap Download and install.
