The date for the presentation of the Galaxy S23 series was officially announced yesterday. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra are to be unpacked at an unpacked event taking place on February 1st. In a separate article, we have already discussed in detail why buying the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ or Galaxy S22 Ultra is still worthwhile. Among other things, it is about the fact that the models are only about a year old. Samsung promises comparatively long updates for many models, up to four years of user interface updates or the Android version and up to five years of regular security updates.

The Galaxy S22 continue to be attractive because the past has shown that the price of Android models from Samsung can quickly fall. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to have a 200-megapixel camera on board. Another innovation should be found in the CPU field. Instead of an Exynos, the Galaxy S class in Germany should now also work with Snapdragon processors.

If you can do without it, with the Galaxy S22 (+) and Galaxy S22 Ultra you get models that can still hold their own and should run for a few more years with the latest software. After the official announcement of the unpacked date, we’ll take a look below at what the 2022 models currently cost. We have not taken into account offers from online marketplaces that may be cheaper than the stated prices. Market prices of smartphones can change quickly. Market prices are quite attractive

In the article linked above “That’s why it’s still worth buying the Galaxy S22”, we also carried out a price comparison on December 13 of last year. The current market prices of the Samsung Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra in Phantom Black and with 128 GB are slightly below those of around four weeks ago. This also shows that the cheapest smartphone prices do not necessarily have to be found during offer periods such as the pre-Christmas period.

The current prices are pretty good. With any luck, they might fall a bit more after Samsung releases the Galaxy S23 series.
