A 32-year-old hiker died in an accident on Friday evening when descending from the Hoher Göll via the Pflugtalsteig. The Austrian had obviously lost his way and fell about 50 meters down a rock face after dark and in the rain.
An acquaintance alerted the rescue workers after the man had not arrived at the agreed meeting point, the Scharitzkehlalm. At around 1:30 a.m. the search parties could only recover the casualty.
