It doesn’t come as a surprise: Sahra Wagenknecht wants information from… ARD capital studios form their own party. The Left Party MP had repeatedly said that she was considering this step.
She had flirted with it for a long time, but now Sahra Wagenknecht is founding her own party. The ARD capital studio confirmed corresponding reports from “Spiegel” and ZDF, which refer to the politician’s environment.
According to “Spiegel” she wants to give a press conference on Monday in which she will announce the founding of the already registered association “BSW – For Reason and Justice e. V.” want to make public. “BSW” should therefore stand for “Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht”. At the meeting, the politician will also present a first draft program.

However, with a club, Wagenknecht and her supporters could already take part in the European elections and the 2024 state elections in Brandenburg – provided they meet further requirements as a “political association”. As things stand, Wagenknecht does not want to announce a departure from the Left Party on Monday, nor does he want to announce his departure from the Bundestag faction, according to the report in “Spiegel”. However, those around them assume that the exit is “sealed” with this press conference.
There has been speculation for months as to whether the Left Party member of the Bundestag will found her own party or not. Finally, she emphasized that she wanted to make a decision by the end of the year. There has been a dispute between Wagenknecht and her current party for years.
