“Sad Tiger” by Neige Sinno wins the 2023 Goncourt prize for high school students

Sad Tiger wins the Goncourt for high school students after seducing the Fémina jury. Of the seven novels still in the running, it is the autobiographical account of his incest by Neige Sinno which postponed the 2023 Goncourt prize for high school students. The prize was announced this Thursday at lunchtime from Rennes Town Hall .

Among the seven works from the first Goncourt list which competed for the favors of high school students also included Watch over her by Jean-Baptiste Andréa, winner of the Goncourt 2023. But sad tiger Snow Sinno was preferred to him.

Last year, it was Sabyl Ghoussoub who won for Beirut-sur-Seine. The award ceremony will take place the same day, in the early evening, at the Ministry of National Education in Paris.

Created and organized by Fnac and the Ministry of National Education and Youth, under the patronage of the Académie Goncourt, the Goncourt prize for high school students has rewarded an author from the first selection of academicians since 1988. Around fifty classes can discover the back-to-school novels selected by the Académie Goncourt.
