The handball players from Brest overturned the final of the Women’s League by winning late Sunday afternoon at home 29 to 22 against Metz, thus winning the first title of French champion of the Breton club.

The Bretons were bowed during the first round in the Arènes messines on Wednesday 31 to 24, but they managed to turn the situation around. They won the title thanks to two more goals than Metz they scored away (24 against 22).

The Brestoises dream of a hat-trick

Already victorious in the final of the Coupe de France against Nantes (37-33) last week, the Finistériennes have achieved a historic season for the club, which rose to the first division in 2016. But it may not be over yet since Brest will play in the Final Four of the Champions League next week in Budapest where they will face the reigning European champion Györ in the semi-finals.
