Four years ago, Ryan Reynolds wrote a “Deadpool” Christmas film. The project went under, but the star keeps hoping.

Ryan Reynolds (46) dreams that his screenplay for a “Deadpool” Christmas movie will someday be filmed. He revealed that of the newspaper “The Big Issue”. In 2018 he wrote a script about his iconic anti-superhero with “Deadpool” authors Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (45). “But it got lost in the mess of Disney’s acquisition of Fox and never materialized.” Reynolds hasn’t given up hope, though. “Maybe one day we’ll be able to make this movie,” said the “Deadpool” actor.

“Spirited” instead of Christmas “Deadpool”

Instead of a festive “Deadpool” Ryan Reynolds has another Christmas film at the start. A few days ago, “Spirited” started on Apple TV+. In the musical comedy loosely based on Charles Dickens’ “Christmas Carol”, the US-Canadian plays alongside Will Ferrell (55).

In general, Ryan Reynolds is a Christmas fan. But: “I love the pre-Christmas period much more than the actual Christmas, which can sometimes feel a bit like a pure transaction.” In New York, where he lives with his wife Blake Lively (35) and their three children, Reynolds is at a pre-Christmas hustle and bustle hotspot. “We’re seeing the ‘Nutcracker’ at Lincoln Center, it’s really magical. If you told seven-year-old Ryan Reynolds, who grew up in Vancouver, that one day I would experience those things with my kids, I wouldn’t have believed it.”
