Ryan Gosling will play Ken in the live-action adaptation of Barbie. He’s been waiting for this his whole life, he reveals.

Is impersonating Ken the role of his life? Ryan Gosling (41) raved about the “Barbie” live action film in an interview. About the role as Ken he said the industry magazine “Variety”: “It’s finally here. It’s been a long time coming for my whole life.” As the first pictures from the set have shown, he can be seen in the film with platinum blonde hair and neon-colored 80s outfits, as well as his fellow actress Margot Robbie (32) as Barbie.

“I felt like I saw myself. I felt seen,” Gosling continued. Many Kens would “feel seen” by watching the film. “I have to do it for the Kens. Nobody plays with the Kens,” added the actor.

“Barbie” will be in cinemas in summer 2023

Warner Bros. Pictures announced that the live-action adaptation will be released in summer 2023. In addition to Robbie and Gosling, a host of other stars will star in the film.
